Wedding planning tool

Wedding Flower Calculator

Use this as an early planning estimate for stem quantities, not as a florist quote. Flower size, recipe style, mechanics, seasonality and the amount of foliage can change the final quantities substantially.

What the estimate includes

The calculation combines broad planning ranges for personal flowers, table arrangements and ceremony pieces, then adds a modest contingency for damaged, short or unsuitable stems. It deliberately gives a range instead of pretending there is one correct number.

Before you buy flowers yourself

Check the recipe for each arrangement, stem size and expected open stage. A hydrangea-heavy centrepiece may need far fewer stems than one built from ranunculus, sweet peas or spray roses. For weddings where consistency matters, a florist or wholesaler can also advise on pack sizes, substitutions and conditioning losses.
